The Bartlett School of Architecture UCL will present innovative designs in its annual student showcase The Bartlett Summer Show from 21 - 29 June. The annual celebration of student work is one of the world's biggest architecture degree shows. Over 500 students will present an incredible range of inventive, creative and visual work, from models and drawings, to films, multimedia installations and computer fabrications. This year's show will be opened on Friday 21 June by renowned French architect, Claude Parent, long-time collaborator of Paul Virilio and previous recipient of the Grand Prix national de l'architecture - France's highest architecture award. Parent will select the prestigious Show Opener's Prize, announcing the winner on the opening night. Following this, the exhibit is free and open to the public from Saturday 22 June to Saturday 29 June. Last year's exhibition was described as "a wonderland of architectural inventions" by BD Online, and "a beautiful collection" by Architects' Journal, who also commented on one student's work as "extraordinary." This year's event is part of The London Festival of Architecture 2013.
