Jan Lintsen reappointed member of UvA Executive Board

Jan Lintsen (photo: Sander Nieuwenhuys) - The Supervisory Board of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) has reappointed Jan Lintsen as a member of the UvA's Executive Board. The decision was taken following positive recommendations from both the Works Council and the Student Council. The reappointment will take effect on 1 September 2021 and is for a period of four years. Within the Executive Board, Lintsen is responsible for the finance and operations portfolio. The Supervisory Board greatly appreciates both the manner in which Lintsen has performed during his first term and the financial policy pursued in recent years. According to Supervisory Board chairperson Marise Voskens, it is therefore positive for the UvA that Lintsen is available for a second term of office: 'Jan is a stable and complementary member of the Board. His portfolio pertains to the support of the core tasks of the UvA and is in capable hands with him.
