Major staff recruitment drive at The University of Nottingham Ningbo, China
PA366/10 The University of Nottingham Ningbo, China (UNNC) is set to bolster its teaching staff with at least another 30 professors, associate and assistant professors, teaching fellows and technicians. UNNC, the first independent Sino-foreign university, has grown its student population from about 250 when it opened its doors in 2004 to just under 5,000. About 12 more professors, associate and assistant professors and teaching fellows will be recruited for Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) as the English-medium University implements plans to enhance teaching and research quality. NUBS China, as part of the Nottingham University Business School, is among the world's top-ranked business schools. It is home to nearly 3,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. A leading international business scholar, Professor Carl Fey, was recently appointed as Dean of NUBS China and Dean of UNNC's Faculty of Social Sciences. Professor Fey has already started implementing changes aimed at further improving the business school's subject offering and research outputs.
