Media Invitation: Space Summit
At its Council meeting during the Space Summit on 6 November 2023, Ministers of ESA's Member States will take decisive steps in making space an even more important instrument to manage climate change. At the same time, ESA will open a new era of modernizing the implementation of its programmes, responding to growing commercialisation and privatisation of space activities, in particular in the fields of space transportation and space exploration. At a joint meeting of the ESA Council at Ministerial level and the Space Ministers of the European Union on 7 November 2023, coordinated advance will be made for space supporting the European Green Transition, sustainability in space, increased commercialisation in the European space ecosystem and securing autonomous, reliable and cost-effective access to space for Europe. Journalists are invited to take note that while both days are part of the Space Summit, they are organized by different entities.
