New public engagement funding now available

The UCL Public Engagement Unit has new Beacon Bursaries funding available for projects that bring the public and the UCL community together. UCL staff and research students are invited to apply for up to £1,500 for activities that will connect their research, teaching or learning with people outside UCL Dr Hilary Jackson from the UCL Public Engagement Unit explained: 'This funding is a great way to connect people outside UCL with our research or teaching. It's designed to give UCL staff and research students an opportunity to test out a new idea, with support and advice from UCL Public Engagement and to help extend their networks within and beyond UCL.' Beacon Bursary awards are competitive, which means applicants are required to fill in a short application form to apply.
