On coronaindestad.nl you can view, read and listen to stories of creativity, vulnerability, comfort, sadness, cheerfulness, loneliness and solidarity in our city. The exhibition is an ongoing project: anyone in Amsterdam and/or those with the city in their hearts can submit contributions. Margriet Schavemaker, artistic director of the Amsterdam Museum and UvA professor of Media and Art in Museum Practice, is particularly calling on students and staff of the UvA to share their personal experiences and submit their stories. The impact of the coronavirus on the city of Amsterdam and on the daily lives of Amsterdammers is central to the contributions on coronaindestad.nl. 'Through this exhibition we want to connect Amsterdammers in isolation, provide a broader context and historical interpretation of the crisis period and capture this unique moment in time for the future,' says Schavemaker. 'The UvA and Amsterdam are inextricably linked.
