Associate Adam Bridgeman has won the Outstanding Teaching Award.
Congratulations to five individual academics, two academic teams and two faculty teams who have been recognised for their outstanding teaching and contributions towards student learning. The nine individuals and teams were awarded the 2013 Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Learning and Teaching. "Our best teachers are those who inspire and motivate our students to be curious and explore," said University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor and Principal Dr Michael Spence. "I congratulate all the award winners for the commitment they have shown to their students and their colleagues." This year's winners are: - Outstanding Teaching Award Associate Professor Adam Bridgeman ( Faculty of Science ) whose love of chemistry has inspired him to find innovative ways to use technology to engage his students. The Peer Assisted Learning Program team from the Central Clinical School - Professor Craig Mellis , Ms Annette Burgess , Associate Professor Chris Roberts , Dr Kirsten Black , Dr Renata Chapman - Systems that Achieve Collective Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award The Faculty of Pharmacy Curriculum Review Team - Associate Professor Jane Hanrahan , Professor Ines Krass , Dr Erica Sainsbury , Dr Rebekah Moles , Associate Professor Parisa Aslani , Dr Romano Fois University of Sydney staff are able to apply for the Office for Learning and Teaching Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning and Awards for Teaching Excellence. The internal nomination process closes on 30 May. Recipients of the awards receive $25,000.
