Two Indigenous research scholars are among 1700 students graduating from ANU over the next two days. Peter Radoll and Megan Davis will receive their PhD degrees in ceremonies at Llewellyn Hall. Radoll, who is graduating from the ANU College of Business and Economics, looked at the low level of Internet and computer take up among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Davis, a graduate of the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, studied Indigenous women and the right to self-determination. The two graduates are not the only Indigenous scholars to receive honours during this year's graduation ceremonies. Kerry Arabena, who graduated with a PhD from the ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment in 2010, has won the JG Crawford Medal. The award recognises her research on the concept of citizenship and the positional of traditional peoples in the modern world.
