Princeton celebrates Whitman College opening with lecture, dedication Sept. 26-27
- Parking changes in effect during dedication Several parking changes will be in effect during the dedication of Whitman College on Thursday, Sept. Guests for the dedication will be directed by the Department of Public Safety to park in Lot 6, located between the garage at Lot 7 and New South. Staff who are assigned to park in Lot 6 have been asked via e-mail to park in the garage at Lot 7. Staff who are assigned to park in the garage have been notified that traffic and parking will be extremely heavy and that, when the garage is full, they will be directed by public safety to park in Lot 21 near Jadwin Gymnasium. From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, two express shuttles will be added and will run continuous loops between Lot 21 and the garage. The fences that surrounded the Whitman College construction site for more than three years were removed in August to welcome this year's students, and this month Princeton will celebrate the completion of the project with other members of the community in a two-day series of events. The University plans to mark the opening of Whitman College with a public lecture by design architect Demetri Porphyrios Wednesday, Sept.
