Say g’day to work in the USA

Parliamentary internship positions in Washington DC are now available to outstanding students from Australia's Group of Eight universities. Applications are now open for the National Parliamentary-Congressional Internship Program. The program will see three students chosen to undertake an internship in the office of a United States senator on the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. The internship runs for three months between December 2011 and February 2012. Successful applicants will assist the Senator's senior staff in developing policy advice and assisting with the day-to-day functioning of the office. Interns will also be able to attend foreign relations committee hearings, as well as policy briefings held for staff in the US Capitol building. Applications close on Friday 30 September.
