Senior Chinese Diplomat opens Art Exhibition

The new Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Manchester came to Lancaster to mark the launch of a new exhibition, 'Britain through the eyes of a Chinese artist' , this month. Consul General SUN Dali visited Lancaster University on Friday 9 September to meet Pro-Vice-Chancellor International, Professor Steve Bradley, along with Lancaster University Confucius Institute staff, Chinese students and visiting scholars. He also opened an art exhibition, hosted by Lancaster University at Brockhole on Windermere. Other guests at the exhibition preview included: Consul WANG Ying, the artist and head of the education section at the Chinese Consulate of the P.R.C. at Manchester; Richard Leaf, the Chief Executive of Lake District National Park Authority; The Mayor of Lancaster, Robert Redfern; The Deputy Mayor of Keswick, Susan Leighton; and Tom Buckley, the Director of Recruitment, Admissions and International Development at Lancaster University.
