Concerts by Collegium Musicum of Freie Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin in January and February 2020. No 015/2020 from Jan 28, 2020 The ensembles of the Collegium Musicum of Freie Universität and Technische Universität Berlin will be presenting several concerts in Berlin in January and February 2020, as usual at the end of the semester. The Small Symphony Orchestra will kick off with classical-romantic pieces by the composer Antonín Dvorák on January 31 and an excerpt from the dramatic-symphonic work Jean Sibelius' Finlandia in the Kirche zum Guten Hirte (Church of the Good Shepherd) in Friedenau. A highlight of the musical program of the Collegium Musicum is the concert in the Berlin Philharmonic on February 9: the symphony orchestra and the full choir will present pieces of the romantic and modern by Anton Bruckner, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Francis Poulenc. On February 7 there will be an a cappella performance in the St. Jacobi Church in Kreuzberg, where the chamber choir of the Collegium Musicum will present a concert of contemporary choral music. There is also a highlight for jazz enthusiasts - the Uni-Bigband Berlin will play on February 14 and 15 in the Schlot art factory in Berlin-Mitte. Tickets for the classical concerts are available on the Collegium Musicum website and at the box office.
