Three international campuses - one University: the University of Nottingham Tri-Campus Games
University of Nottingham News Press releases 2010 June Three international campuses - one University: the University of Nottingham Tri-Campus Games. PA 127/10 One hundred and eighty student athletes, three international campuses — one University. The second University of Nottingham Tri-Campus Games kicks off next week in Malaysia, pitting the top athletes from the University's campuses in China, Malaysia and the UK against each other in a week-long festival of sport. The competition will be fierce throughout the tournament, which will be part of the celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of the launch of The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC). The tournament is truly international, with more than 20 nations represented across the three campus teams - Team UK are determined to retain the Tri-Campus Champions title they won at the inaugural Games which took place on University Park, Nottingham, in 2009. But Team Malaysia have the home advantage and are keen to win the crown in their tenth anniversary year. And Team China are preparing to host the Games at their campus in Ningbo, China, next year — hosting the 2011 tournament as 2010 champions would be a tremendous boost for not just the team, but for the whole campus.
