The Spanish Program at The Australian National University has been recognised as one of the nation's best higher education programs in this year's Australian Awards for University Teaching. It was one of only 10 programs nationally to receive an Award for Programs that Enhance Learning . Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington congratulated the Spanish Program staff and said the award was richly deserved. "This award is testimony to the outstanding quality of teaching consistently delivered by Associate Daniel Martin and his team in the Spanish Program," Professor Hughes-Warrington said. "The Spanish Program stands out for its innovative program design and delivery, with several of its teaching methods considered world's best practice. "As educators they continually push the boundaries, whether it be pioneering new ways to use technology, or adopting innovative approaches to assessment strategies. "This award recognises their achievements enhancing the student learning experience and we congratulate them all on this excellent result.
