Training Center ORSI receives European RegioStars Award 2019

The Orsi Academy robotic surgery training center, of which Ghent University is a partner, received the 2019 Regiostar Award in the 'Modernizing Health Services' category. With the Regiostar Awards, the European Commission each year honors projects that stand out from the other projects in terms of demonstrating excellence and rolling out a new approach. With the aim of inspiring other European regions and project managers, the winners receive extra media attention and are placed in the European spotlights. The Regiostars are awarded in five thematic categories of promotion of digital transformation, connecting green-blue-gray networks, combating inequality and poverty, building climate-adaptive cities and the special category for 2019: Modernizing Health Services. It is in the latter category that Orsi Academy received the award. Orsi Academy.
