Translation Studies Unit joins UCL
Imperial's Translation Studies Unit has joined the UCL School of European Language Culture and Society, with a new cohort of 55 students starting this week. The unit offers graduate programmes in translation studies. Staff and students at the Translation Studies Unit already work very closely with UCL colleagues and the prospect of joining two centres of excellence for translation studies, alongside UCL's world leading strength in languages, is an exciting one for UCL. Professor Jonathan Wolff, Dean of UCL Faculty of Arts and Humanities, said: "I'm delighted to welcome the Translation Studies Unit to UCL. We have been long-standing admirers of their work, and believe that together we will provide world leading expertise in both technical and literary translation. When this is combined with UCL's unique expertise in modern languages it will truly reinforce UCL's standing as London's Global University." : George Wigmore - Links:.
