Tuckwell Scholarship attracts Australia’s brightest

The Australian National University (ANU) has received more than 650 applications from across Australia for the recently launched Tuckwell Scholarship Program. The selection process is now underway with 216 students invited to progress to the next stage. Of those, 125 are female and 91 male. In the next stage of the selection process applicants are asked to share more about their personality by answering several short essay questions. A select group of applicants will then be invited to the final stage of applications - the stage - before 25 offers are made in July. For the 25 successful applicants the Scholarship will not only provide on-going financial support, but also the opportunity to fulfill their broader community ambitions over and above the pursuit of an undergraduate degree. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington said applicants not only demonstrated excellent academic results but an impressive desire to give back to their communities.
