UCL Advances summer internships briefing

UCL Advances are offering graduating students the chance to obtain work experience with a start-up business. The UCL Advances summer internship scheme will run for eight weeks, from May until September 2010. The scheme is open to undergraduates and postgraduates at any of the University of London's colleges from any academic background, and is designed to help students differentiate themselves in a competitive recruitment market. At the briefing, Tim Barnes (Executive Director, UCL Advances) will describe the experiences to be gained through interning at a start-up company and how such a position can help lead students into their desired career. The briefing will be an open forum with the opportunity to ask questions. It will last for an hour and will be followed by refreshments, where students will have the opportunity to meet some of the small business founders and to learn about the companies involved.
