University joins iTunes U

The University of Plymouth is now available at iTunes U via University of Plymouth on iTunes U (requires iTunes to access) – a dedicated area of the iTunes Store that offers free audio and video content from leading education institutions. The free content can be downloaded to a computer, iPhone, iPod or iPad and includes information on academic subjects, films about the University, student videos on their experiences here, and areas to upload teaching and learning content, research footage and interviews with academics. Professor Wendy Purcell, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Plymouth, said: “By joining iTunes U, the University is extending its mobile, flexible and personalised learning experience for everyone, no matter what their educational level or personal circumstances. It is an excellent way to showcase what the University has to offer, both in curriculum content and our wide range of arts and community programmes. “iTunes U is a valuable additional window for our potential students, giving them another insight into university life and our truly international experience, so they can make informed choices about studying here and the courses that are on offer.
