University of Nottingham Innovation Park welcomes new residents
PA 168/09 The University of Nottingham Innovation Park has welcomed prestigious new residents to its award-winning Sir Colin Campbell Building. This dramatic building, set in a 12-acre site adjacent to the University's Jubilee Campus, is now home to the East Midlands regional offices for Ordnance Survey and the Institution of Civil Engineers. By providing a bridge between the campus and the Innovation Park, the Sir Colin Campbell Building aims to encourage innovation and collaboration between academia, research and business. As well as providing business accommodation units, high speed IT networks, meeting, conference and events facilities and on-site parking, the Sir Colin Campbell Building also hosts regular networking events in close proximity to leading UK researchers and their facilities, and access to a strong graduate and post-graduate talent pool as well as the University's business development network. The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) East Midlands Regional Support team moved into the Sir Colin Campbell Building in the beginning of April and from its new offices will continue to provide a key point of contact for its members and regional committees. ICE chose the Innovation Park to take advantage of additional meeting facilities, together with a larger space for more seminars and membership events on site. The ICE East Midlands has already hosted a Draft Floods and Water Bill breakfast meeting in March with very positive feedback from the 70 attendees.
