US ambassador to the UK to visit Durham University US ambassador to the UK, Matthew Barzun, will visit Durham University tomorrow (Wednesday) to meet with US students and scholars. The visit is part of Durham's wide-ranging collaboration with universities and organisations in the US. The Ambassador will be welcomed at Durham Castle by US students and staff and those who have teaching or research links in the States. The Ambassador's visit comes after the annual conference of the prestigious US-UK Fulbright Commission, an organisation set up to foster mutual cultural understanding through educational exchange, was held at the University earlier this month.
