Vice-Chancellor's Enterprise Awards nominations

PricewaterhouseCoopers, Plymouth City Council and NHS South West are just three of the nominees who will be going head-to-head for honours at the inaugural Vice-Chancellor's Enterprise Awards next month. The trio have all been shortlisted along with Devon County Council in the Employer of the Year category - one of sixteen prizes to be handed out at a gala dinner on Plymouth Hoe. The nominees include students, staff, alumni, businesses and community partners and were submitted by people from across the region. The Vice-Chancellor's Enterprise Awards are now set to become a key date in the University's calendar and are aimed at recognising and celebrating the contributions that are being made as part of Plymouth's prominent position as the enterprise university. Council Leader, Vivien Pengelly, said: "We are delighted that we have been recognised and are a part of these awards. The enterprise message is one we are very much on board with - it is part of our ambitious plans for the city. Over the years we have developed a real sense of community and purpose with partners and businesses across Plymouth and that ambition and drive is more crucial now than ever during these difficult economic times.
