Description of the team
The ongoing commitment to improving the MAX IV Linac performance and the preparations for starting the summer shutdown period of Linac work, the RF group is in need of extra help to fulfill the tasks that arise during this period. This work will focus on preventative maintenance of high-voltage RF power units.

Tasks

  • Replacement of all air and oil filters of 23 modulators and installation of oil-pump motor controller
  • Measurements and documentation of RF station parameters
  • Assist and help with upgrades / replacements of key RF components


Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of physics, electronics and electrical equipment
  • Computer skills in excel and/or Matlab
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to take initiative, be performance oriented, structured
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.



This is a temporary position, full-time for 8 weeks in June-August 2026.
