Work duties

We are seeking a field assistant to work on a long term bluetit project. The work includes fieldwork in a nest box population at Revinge and in Öved. The field assistant is expected to conduct independent work including nest box checks during breeding as well as catching, blood sampling and measuring wild birds.

Qualifications

• Experience in catching and handling of wild birds, preferable blue tits.
• Experience in ringing both adults and nestlings
• Experience in blood sampling of adult birds
• Experience in breeding studies among birds
• Driver’s license
• Fluent in either Swedish or English

Other merits

• Previous knowledge of the position of the nest boxes at Revinge and Öved.
