The Arts & Science Advancement team secures donations to support the faculty and its academic priorities. Through a range of programs and special initiatives, the team illuminates the value of supporting the faculty for current and prospective donors, volunteers and alumni. Your opportunity: Serving as a writer, editor, strategist and project manager on the Arts & Science Advancement team, the Associate Director, Strategic Content develops advancement communications materials in collaboration with senior colleagues to pursue the faculty’s highest priorities and aspirations. Under the direction of the Director, Strategic Content, the incumbent is responsible for the research, conceptualization, planning, development and delivery of major gift proposals, cases for support, backgrounders, campaign collateral and other strategic communications targeted to alumni and prospective donors. The Associate Director, Strategic Content consults with academic, development and volunteer stakeholders, conducts original content research, drafts creative briefs and outlines, and coordinates with writing and design colleagues, often balancing competing deadlines. The role supports large-scale, complex and multi-unit initiatives by leading the development of high-stakes solicitation, cultivation and stewardship materials and executive communications, and develops frameworks, tools, templates and standards used by other advancement colleagues and collaborators across the faculty.
