The Professorship of Environmental Economics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Campus Weihenstephan, invites applications for a PhD position in Economics. The position is expected to start at the earliest convenience, but no later than September 2026. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate interested in conducting field experiments (RCTs) and survey experiments on sustainability and environmental economics.

The position is expected to start at the earliest convenience, but no later than September 2026. The appointment is initially for 36 months, with the possibility of extension. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate interested in conducting field experiments (RCTs) and survey experiments on sustainability and environmental economics.

Requirements
• Master’s degree in economics or a related discipline with very good results
• Solid knowledge of experimental or other empirical methods
• Experience in data analysis using statistical programs such as R or Stata
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Enthusiasm for research and teaching
