Dr. Rudolph Perkins Receives Research Grant From Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

Starting this September, Ruperto Carola welcomes US mathematician Dr. Rudolph Perkins, recipient of a research grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. During his two-year stay, he will explore the theory of numbers. His host is Dr. Gebhard Böckle, director of a research group at the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) at Heidelberg University. Rudolph Perkins (b. 1985) studied mathematics at the University of California at San Diego und earned his doctorate from Ohio State University in 2013. In 2014, he was a postdoc at the Camille Jordan Institute in Lyon, France. Dr. Perkins switched to Ruperto Carola at the beginning of this year to conduct research at the MAThematics Center Heidelberg (MATCH).
