10 reasons to go to ’Everyone Ghent University!’
This Sunday, 8 October, it is time for the climax of Ghent University's 200th anniversary celebrations: the free and exciting city festival 'Everyone Ghent University!'. Here are ten reasons why you, as a member of the Ghent University community, shouldn't miss the celebrations. More than 250 activities at 17 locations: there's a big chance you'll find something you like. Ranging from lectures and debates, to experiments and scientific shows: there's something to suit everyone! Create your own programme on www.iedereenugent.be or just come to town to experience and to celebrate! Also, all activities are free; also the exhibition in the city museum STAM and St. Peter's Abbey are free on Sunday. Sunday is for families! That's the day when 'Everyone Ghent University!' is the place to be for everyone, including children. Visit the Science Palace or celebration of technology together, enjoy some real Ghent puppet shows, or take your favourite cuddly toy to be examined in our teddy bear hospital. There are also lots of different children's workshops: programming your own robot, celebrations in other cultures, infant workshop in learning to taste, making a tower of spaghetti and marshmallows, making a windmill, and so much more! Sign your children up for their favourite workshop on www.iedereenugent.be.
