2011 CENSUS: independent analysis available
10 Dec 2012 The University of Manchester's new research Centre on Dynamics of Ethnicity will also be preparing four separate briefing documents, using the census data, on the growth of ethnic diversity, on integration, immigration, and on segregation. The briefings will be published at regular s in the coming weeks. The census briefings are funded by the Centre and by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Simpson said: "The census data published today is a rich source of material, which provides a powerful insight to policy makers and the public on the state of Britain. "Our briefings, to be published over the coming weeks will go further than the Office for National Statistics, by engaging with policy debates which concern us all: ethnicity and race. "We shall track how Britain has changed since 1991 to put the latest years into context and calculate commonly used measures of diversity and segregation to show movement within Britain. "We will contrast different perspectives on international migrants that are available from the Census and identify the greatest concentrations of minority groups in Britain.
