Alumni Bring Home Four Prime Time Emmy Awards
Carnegie Mellon University - It was a trophy night for several Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama alumni during the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards/Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The winners were announced at a two-evening ceremony Sept. 11 and 12. The remainder of the awards were presented during a prime time special Sunday evening, Sept. 19, on CBS. During that broadcast, the ensemble cast of "Hamilton" received an Emmy, which was accepted by Renee Elise Goldsberry, who originated the role of Angelica Schuyler. She was joined onstage by cast members, including fellow CMU alumnus Leslie Odom, Jr.
