Australia has announced a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with top trading partner China after 10 years of trade negotiations. That clearly suggests to me that negotiations were unable to be satisfactorily concluded in time for the signing ceremony at Parliament House yesterday. So, the fact is that the text of the treaty has yet to be settled and that will not occur until the treaty is actually signed at some point to be determined in 2015. "Minister Robb's Press Release makes reference to 'legal reviews' being undertaken prior to conclusion of the FTA which indicates to me that there is some capacity for some of the text to be adjusted.
