The Prime Minister of the Bahamas visited King's this morning to view the Caribbean exhibit at the Maughan Library. The Rt. Hon. Hubert Alexander Ingraham and Mrs Ingraham, who are in London for the royal wedding, stopped by for a guided tour of the exhibit, and a brief tour of the other special library collections. The party was greeted by the Principal, Professor Rick Trainor and Professor Marguerite Dupree. After the tour the Prime Minister spent some time talking to Bahamian students from King's and other London institutions. The paradise of the world: Conflict and society in the Caribbean is an exhibition of books, photographs and maps spanning the history of the Caribbean region from the sixteenth century to 1900.
