Professor Patrick Le Galès
Professor Patrick Le Galès has been elected a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy. Professor Le Galès, a part-time Visiting Professor at the Department of Political Economy and the Department of Geography, was elected in July to the political science section of the Academy. The position of Corresponding Fellow is for scholars based overseas who have 'attained high international standing in any of the branches of study which it is the object of the Academy to promote'. He was one of 35 Corresponding Fellows to be announced recently. Professor Le Galès is also a CNRS research professor of Sciences Po at the Centre d'études européennes in Paris. His research focuses on public policy, sociology of the state in Europe, political economy and European cities. Within the UK he studies the state and society.
