Christiana HÖRBIGER Award - promoting the international mobility of young scientists

Twice a year, the Rector of TU Wien presents the Christiana HÖRBIGER Award - promoting the international mobility of young scientists. This takes the form of a grant of EUR 1000 up to a maximum of EUR 10,000 per grant, that is funded by Ms Christiana Hörbiger. The donor's aim with this grant is to promote the mobility of young scientists by enabling them to attend scientifically relevant conferences and congresses, and to promote the inter-university exchange of young scientists. The award's primary objective is to provide support for the following costs incurred in the course of scientific work: travel costs, accommodation costs and conference costs. It does not cover the following: internet costs, mobile phone costs, living costs and insurance costs. Furthermore, 50 % of the funds awarded go to women. Allocation of funds: EUR 1000, up to a maximum of EUR 10,000 per grant, total amount of EUR 30,000 awarded in each round of application - Nominations and conditions.
