Christine Mensch, study at Swiss TPH, has been awarded one of five 'Teaching Excellence Awards' from the University of Basel. The prize honours her outstanding achievements as of several master and PhD programmes at the Faculty of Science. The award ceremony took place yesterday at the Kollegiengebäude of the University of Basel. It takes more than talented professors and lecturers to make university courses successful. It also needs the efforts of those working in the back offices, preparing curricula, answering requests or issuing contracts. Swiss TPH's Christine Mensch coordinates the MSc in Epidemiology, the MSc in Infection Biology and some PhD programmes offered by the Faculty of Science at the University of Basel. Her dedication, competence and high standards make her deserving of a Teaching Excellence Award in the category 'Service to Teaching'.
