Clare College alumna’s film at the Arts Picturehouse

A debut feature film by a Clare College alumna is showing at the Arts Picturehouse on Tuesday 24 April and again the following evening. —The Times Wreckers, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Clare Foy, was written and directed by Dictynna Hood who was nominated for best british newcomer at the BFI London Film Festival where it had its debut last October. It was filmed locally in the Fens and the score was composed by Andrew Lovett who was based in Cambridge until recently. He collaborated with Hood on her acclaimed production of the 1995 Cambridge Greek Play, The Birds. She also directed the 1989 Cambridge Greek Play The Bacchae. Andrew also wrote the Music for the 1992 Cambridge Greek Play, Hippolytus, directed by Philip Howard Dawn (Claire Foy) and David (Benedict Cumberbatch) have moved back to the village where he grew up to start a family. Their relationship seems idyllic, but getting pregnant is proving difficult and adding to the strain of building their perfect home.
