Consciousness expert awarded Wellcome Engagement Fellowship

Consciousness expert awarded Wellcome Engagement Fellowship. A leading consciousness scientist at the University of Sussex has today (Tuesday 4 October) been named one of Wellcome's engagement fellows for 2016. The fellowship will allow Professor Anil Seth, co-Director of the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science , to explore new ways of combining cutting-edge research into the biological basis of consciousness with innovative approaches to public involvement. He will take up his three-year fellowship later this year, dividing time between his research and his passion for engaging the public in science. Professor Seth said: "Consciousness is one of the eternal mysteries and modern science is finally starting to reveal its biological basis.
