Law Fair
22 Oct 2013 The national Law Fair, organised by the University of Manchester, comes to the city on 19 November, 2013. A legal career can be an option for graduates of any discipline, not just those studying law. Providing a forum for interested undergraduates and graduates to find out if it could be a career for them, the Law Fair is one of the key events of the academic year for any student or graduate considering a career as a Solicitor or Barrister. The Fair takes place from 12.30pm to 4pm on Tuesday 19 November in Central Hall 1, Manchester Central (formerly G-MEX) and around 1,500 students and graduates from universities across the UK are expected to attend, with no charge for entry and Fair Guides available free of charge on the day. It is a great opportunity to gain access to a wealth of information on a career in law. Visitors will be able to meet with representatives from more than 70 City, national and local law firms to discuss the training contracts and vacation placements they have available. Organisations such as the Legal Aid Practitioners Group and the Young Legal Aid Lawyers will also be there, as well as representatives from The Bar - The Bar Council & Inns of Court, the Commercial Bar Association, Chancery Bar and the Northern Circuit of the Bar - who will be happy to give advice to aspiring barristers.
