Examining the Big Picture: ANU Crawford Leadership Forum 2020 - What Australia looks like in a COVID-19 world and how it meets the challenges posed by the pandemic is the focus of the 2020 ANU Crawford Leadership Forum. For the first time, the Forum will be delivered by a series of 'Big Picture' online events, open to the public and taking place throughout June. The free panels feature leading Australian and international thinkers and run from 4 to 23 June. Panels touch on a range of pressing issues, including the future of universities, global public health, Asia and the Pacific's response to the coronavirus, and climate change and the pandemic.          "For Australia, responding to COVID-19 is an opportunity for us to reassess our place in the world," ANU Chancellor the Hon Julie Bishop said. "As our country's national university, ANU has always taken a unique role in helping to provide solutions to the greatest challenges and problems faced by our nation and the world. "The University has played a significant role in developing public policy; with this forum we are continuing that tradition of delivering sound public policy." An expert panel featuring The Hon Kevin Rudd, Professor Brian Schmidt, The Hon Jane Philpott and many others also will discuss what solutions should be embraced in the national interest. Viewers can pose their questions and engage in discussion with the panels, getting the rare opportunity to interact with a broad range of leading minds.
