Creation of the Universe: Science and Philosophy?
Michal Heller, mathematical cosmologist, will be delivering this year?s MB Grabowski Memorial Lecture on ?Creation of the Universe: Science and Philosophy? at UCL on 12 November. Hosted by the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies, the lecture will take place in the Cruciform Building on Gower Street. Heller combines mathematics, physics, theology and philosophy. He is currently a Professor of Philosophy at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Kraków and has been visiting professor at the Universities of Louvain, Ličge, Oxford, Leicester, the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and the Vatican Observatory in Castel Gandolfo. He was awarded the Templeton Prize in 2008 for Progress Toward Research or Discoveries about Spiritual Realities in honour of his dedication to understanding and explaining the interaction of science and religion.
