Cruciform - Hub update and library closure

UCL Estates are pleased to announce that Cameron Black have been appointed as contractors for the Cruciform Hub, the new teaching and learning centre for medicine in Bloomsbury. The Cruciform Hub will open in Spring 2014 with a state of the art library, computer cluster, and suite of seminar rooms. Located at the heart of the UCL Medical School in Bloomsbury, in the lower ground floor of the Cruciform building, the Hub will be easily accessible for UCL students and staff, as well as NHS staff working at UCLH. Detailed design work is almost complete, and the team would like to thank users of the Cruciform Pilot Area for their valuable input. Works begin from Monday 10th June and UCL Library Services, Estates and ISD have been working closely with the Medical School to maintain suitable provision for staff and students throughout the duration of the works. The Cruciform Library is moving to the Science Library, 2nd floor. The Cruciform Library will be closed during the move, from Saturday 8th June, reopening on Monday 1st July.
