Doing your part to stop the spread of COVID-19

When you're on campus there are a number of things you can do to stop the spread of COVID-19 and better protect yourself and others from the virus. A 'multi-layered' approach is the best defence against COVID-19. The video below explains how a combination of measures is the most effective way to keep the virus at bay. By taking these steps, you create multiple lines of defence against the virus, making it harder for it to enter the community and ultimately reducing the chances of COVID-19 spreading. You can find extensive guidance available for staff and students on our  Coronavirus Information pages. You can play your part by: - Getting vaccinated for COVID-19, if you can;   Being thoughtful and wearing a face covering  whilst indoors, unless you're exempt; Staying at home if you feel at all unwell;   Self-isolating and  ordering a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test  if you have coronavirus symptoms; Getting tested twice weeklv  with a rapid Lateral Flow Test (LFT) if you don't have symptoms and reporting your results to the NHS and UCL Connect to Protect; Being considerate of those around you, especially if they're wearing a  ' Please Give Me Space ' lanyard or badge; and Washing or sanitising your hands frequently throughout the day. UCL Community Commitment to Protect Each Other  - If you have specific questions about your individual circumstances, please speak to their department or line manager in the first instance.
