Election 2010 under the microscope
PA 43/10 With the announcement of Britain's first Prime Ministerial debate between the three main parties, the focus on the general election is sharpening. And with public trust in MPs at an all-time low and political parties desperate to claw back respect, the election is poised to be one of the most hard-fought and intriguing campaigns in years. Making sense of the issues and cutting to the real heart of British politics is a specially assembled panel of experts from The University of Nottingham's School of Politics and International Relations. The panel has launched Election 2010, ( http://www.electionblog2010.blogspot.com/ ) a dedicated site featuring in-depth and relevant political analysis. On the site are views and analysis you will not find anywhere else. The observations are based on years of specialised research and expertise. Topics range from the apparent resurgence of the BNP and how the MPs expenses row has caused further voter disenchantment, to immigration and the study of backbench dissent in Parliament.
