Finding the best brains for Switzerland

About half of the lecturers at Swiss universities are foreign nationals. This makes Switzerland one of the world's leading centres for international education. The Federal Council is keen to continue its policy of promoting international exchange and importing talent in accordance with its international strategy for education, research and innovation. Science diplomacy supports these efforts in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in particular. Federal Councillor Alain Berset recognises that Swiss universities have an interest in the global exchange of young talent and top researchers. The swissnex science consulates play an important role in this. These centres are important in presenting Switzerland as a location for expertise and know-how.
