Grounded in classics, valedictorian Squire excels in many fields

Zachary Squire has found outlets for his many academic interests within the classics department - where he has explored issues in politics, history, literature and philosophy - as well as in departments across campus en route to his selection as the class of 2008 valedictorian. That early interest eventually grew into a broader appreciation of the study of ancient civilizations.
