The Namibian desert is home to some vibrant personalities, as TEGAN DOLSTRA discovered. It's 4am, hours before sunrise, well before the parched earth is baked in a suffocating oven, but Alecia Carter is already hot on the trail of her quarry. It's a race against time as her truck trundles across the rocky outcrops of the Namibian desert. One wrong turn, one minute lost, and they will be gone - the search to find them again could take hours, days, maybe weeks. Within a few hours the landscape will be a slab of searing heat, soaking in the 40-degree sun. But still Carter will follow, over mountaintops and through dusty gullies, for up to 12 hours a day. Where they go, so will she.
