In memory of Ulf Diederichsen

Ulf Diederichsen Photo: University of Göttingen/Christoph Mischke The University of Göttingen is greatly saddened by the passing of chemist and former Vice-President, Professor Ulf Diederichsen, who died on 11 November 2021. We are deeply saddened by his sudden death. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Ulf Diederichsen had been a professor at the Institute of Organic Chemistry at Göttingen University since April 2001, which he also led from 2008 to 2014. From 2005 to 2007, he was Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry. From 2015 to 2021, he was Vice-President for Research at Göttingen University. In October 2020, Ulf Diederichsen became President of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities, where he had been a full member since 2012.
