Los Alamos National Laboratory sits on top of a once-remote mesa in northern New Mexico with the Jemez mountains as a backdrop to research and innovation covering multi-disciplines from bioscience, sustainable energy sources, to plasma physics and new materials.
LOS ALAMOS, New Mexico, March 29, 2010—Brad Feld, a renowned early-stage investor and entrepreneur, will attend a meeting of the Open Coffee Club networking event from 10 a.m. to noon April 1 at Los Alamos Research Park, 4200 West Jemez Road. The event is a first of its kind in Los Alamos and is open to anyone interested in startup companies in New Mexico. Feld has been an early-stage investor and entrepreneur for more than 20 years and is founder of Intensity Ventures, a company that helped launch and operate software companies, as well as cofounder of Mobius Venture Capital and Foundry Group. He is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of venture capital investing and entrepreneurship. Open Coffee Club encourages entrepreneurs, developers, and investors to organize real-world informal meet ups to chat, network, and grow. An informal atmosphere allows people to come and go, and there is no set agenda. Feld writes the blog Feld Thoughts and founded his own company, Feld Technologies, in 1987.
