King's launches executive programme for international cultural leaders
King's College London has launched an intensive and immersive learning programme for senior international cultural leaders. Leading culture in the 21st century is a new seven day programme that will run for the first time in April 2017. It will bring together world-leading King's academics and respected industry professionals from across the globe to challenge current thinking on issues of leadership, resilience, creative risk and business innovation. The inaugural programme, delivered in the heart of London, seeks to catalyse the creation of a facilitated network of peers to think afresh about the challenges and opportunities facing global concepts of art, culture and identity in an ever-changing and increasingly connected world. Leading culture in the 21st century is led by Hilary Carty , Senior Consultant in Leadership, Management and Professional Development and a Member of the Circle of Cultural Fellows at King's and Professor Alison Wolf , Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management at King's. Involving keynote lectures from leading industry experts, experiential workshops, live industry case studies at leading cultural venues and peer-to-peer learning, the varied and vivid programme will be delivered within an environment that encourages and challenges in equal measures while supporting experimentation, innovative thinking and thought leadership. Deborah Bull , Assistant Principal (London), King's College London will be contributing to the programme curriculum and sharing learnings from her career in Higher Education leadership and from her former role as Creative Director at the Royal Opera House.
