Sort your housing for next year in one visit! Join the University of London Housing Fair and meet accommodation providers, get expert advice, and participate in prize draws to win six months’ free rent, an iPad or Amazon vouchers - all just minutes from the Bloomsbury
Looking for next year’s accommodation? From Monday, 2 March to Friday, 6 March, University of London Housing Services’ Housing Week brings together a week of events designed to help you find a place to live, meet potential flatmates, and avoid common housing pitfalls.
The unmissable highlight is the Housing Fair on Thursday, 5 March, 11am-3pm at Senate House , just five minutes from campus. Meet accommodation providers directly, get expert advice, and win great prizes, including an iPad and amazon vouchers. It’s also a great opportunity to come along with friends and start planning where you want to live together next year.
Here’s five reasons you should attend:
1. Meet reputable accommodation providers and UCL’s Accommodation Team
At the Housing Fair, you’ll be able to speak directly to UCL Accommodation staff and leading accommodation providers, including Unite, urbanest, and yugo.
Ask questions straight from people who know it best, and get reliable, practical answers - it’s much easier than relying on websites and online listings.
2. Plan where you’ll live with friends
The Housing Fair is a great opportunity to come with friends and start planning early, while you still have time and a wide range of options available to you.
Starting the process together helps you get clear on your priorities, avoid misunderstandings later, and begin your housing search on the same page.
3. Get practical and expert advice on how to find accommodation
Finding a place to live is about more than choosing a room. Staff from University of London Housing Services will be on hand to offer advice on key topics such as contracts, budgeting, and your rights as a tenant.
Getting this guidance early can help you avoid common pitfalls and feel more confident when it comes to making decisions later in the year.
4. Learn about urbanest Canary Wharf, UCL’s newest hall and win 6 months’ free rent
If you’re considering staying in student accommodation, the Housing Fair is a great opportunity to learn more about urbanest Canary Wharf , UCL’s newest hall for returning students.
There’s also a huge prize up for grabs: If you reserve a room at urbanest Canary Wharf before Thursday, 12 March, you could win 6 months of free rent - a big saving on your accommodation costs ( terms and conditions apply ).
5. Pick up freebies and win big prizes
Expect plenty of freebies and prizes at stalls throughout the event. Make sure to stop by the urbanest stall, where you can enter a prize draw with hundreds of pounds worth of prizes up for grabs, including an 11th generation iPad, two £250 Amazon vouchers, and five £50 vouchers.
